The Stucco Institute was formed from the Contractors Institute, the largest and oldest school of construction in Florida. Contractor’s Institute has been upholding trade standards and providing quality education to contractors since 1971. The Stucco Institute educates contractors about a regionally adapted stucco application system–the Sealed Stucco System–which adheres to international code requirements and will result in an attractive, dependable stucco service for the consumer.
Founder and Chairman Robert Koning
Robert Koning has been involved with the plastering and stucco industry for over 40 years. Beyond that, the Koning family’s involvement in the industry dates back to the 1950’s. These combined provide both an indispensable knowledge of ever-advancing products, methods, and standards, and a discernment against persistent myths and outdated requirements.
His numerous licenses and certifications include: Bachelor of Science in Construction Engineering – Certified Arbitrator & Mediator – Director of Construction Education at Contractors Institute – Certified General, Building, Roofing, Plumbing, Underground Utilities, Air Conditioning, Master Electrician, Solar, Mold Assessor, Mold Remediator, Home Inspector, and BPI Building Analyst.
